Dr. Philip M. Wesley, II serves as Senior Pastor of United in Christ Seventh-day Adventist Church with a deep commitment to discipleship, spiritual growth, and community impact. His ministry is grounded in the belief that faith should be lived authentically—connecting people to Christ in meaningful and practical ways.

Known for his engaging teaching, pastoral care, and forward-thinking leadership, Dr. Wesley brings a passion for empowering individuals and families to grow in purpose and faith.

A native of Long Island, New York, Dr. Wesley pursued his calling to ministry through both theological and professional education. He studied at Oakwood University and later graduated from Atlantic Union College with degrees in Communication and Religion. He earned his Master of Divinity from the Theological Seminary at Andrews University and completed a Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Montemorelos.

This blend of theology, communication, and leadership informs his holistic approach to ministry.

Throughout his ministry, Dr. Wesley has served in leadership roles across New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and the Northeastern Conference. His service includes roles such as Associate Youth Director, Assistant Superintendent for Spiritual Life for 16 conference schools, and Associate Pastor at Capitol Hill SDA Church.

He also contributes to Message Magazine through his column “Elevation: Media That Takes You Higher”, and volunteers as a chaplain with the Prince George’s County Police Department—extending ministry beyond church walls.

Dr. Wesley is married to Lynnett Wesley, author of We Need More Clouds, a book for blended families. Together they are the proud parents of three daughters—Shaniya Josephine, Leah Gabriele, and Peyton Gianna—and a son, Philip III.

He is the son of the late Pastor Philip M. Wesley, Sr., and Dr. Gwen Wesley, a retired principal, and the brother of Sheryl Wesley, founder of Legacy Week for HBCUs at Martha’s Vineyard.
